The 5th International Grand Piano Competition will be held from June 13 to 19, 2026, at the Tchaikovsky Hall and the Concert Hall of the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Arts.

This year, 77 applications from 15 countries were submitted. Video recordings for the qualifying round were submitted by candidates from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Hong Kong, the Republic of Korea, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, the USA, Albania, Croatia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The participants for the two main rounds will be determined by May 10. The jury is chaired by pianist Denis Matsuev, the competition's artistic director. The other judges include Valery Pyasetsky, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Maxim Mogilevsky, William Chen (China-Australia), Leonel Morales (Spain), Justus Frantz (Germany), and Lorenz Nasturica-Herschcowici (Romania).
