Shanwei Liu began studying piano at the age of four and made his public debut shortly thereafter. At the age of nine, he was admitted to the Music Middle School Affiliated to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he currently studies with Professor Zhe Tang.
He is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions in China, Australia, Japan, and Poland. His distinctions include being a finalist of the Shanghai International Young Pianists Competition (2023) and First Prize at the 5th Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians (2023).
Shanwei Liu has performed at venues such as Shanghai Symphony Hall, Sofia National Opera and Ballet, the ClaviCologne International Piano Festival, and the Melbourne International Music Festival. He has collaborated with orchestras including the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Shanghai Opera House Orchestra.
